RELIEF is a randomized clinical trial open to patients across North America who suffer from fibromyalgia. The principal goal is to assess the safety and efficacy of a novel non-pharmacologic therapy called Complex Neural Pulse (CNP). The study is being conducted at university and pain clinics at 19 sites across the United States and Canada.
The device is portable and can be used in the comfort and privacy of the home, with only periodic visits to the clinic. The device is used for 40 minutes, twice daily. The treatment is non-invasive and the device produces no heat, sound or vibration to cause discomfort.
Eligible patients will receive either an active or placebo device. Involvement in the trial is expected to be 20 weeks.
